Equipzilla is a digital solution to find every renting opportunity, so users can rent industrial and building machinery in an easy, quick and neat way.
THE CHALLENGE
The industrial and building sector is a rather offline industry, hardly accessible online especially when it comes to renting. The elevated costs of certain machines make users ask for several estimates, usually in a manual way. Nevertheless, research shows that more than 3 million searches are carried out monthly within this sector, 45,000 of them being transactional searches involving rental services.
Transitioning towards a more digital version of the business became even more unavoidable during the last few years. It was necessary to create a platform to gather every company in the sector. With it, we could connect businesses with their audiences, and streamline the machinery rental sector.
BUSINESS MODEL
Equipzilla was first built as a marketplace, created to work as a comission-based business. Yet, iterating our own products is a crucial part of our roadmap -- delving into the sector and its audience, testing the performance of the product, and observing the response of the market is key.
Equipzilla is based now on a lead-based business model, with our own team of Sales Representatives. This system ensures a top-quality lead base for Equipzilla’s businesses, since our Sales Representative has direct communication with potential clients, evaluates their needs, and qualifies them before refering them to Equipzilla’s businesses.

THE SOLUTION
At Corporate Lab, we came up with the idea of building a marketplace, meant to gather all relevant industrial and building rentals, so a bridge could be built between customers and businesses.
With the right marketing tools, Equipzilla would soon be able to gain users interested in renting industrial machinery, as well as mapping every machinery rental in the country. Pay-per-click campaigns, a long-term SEO strategy, a user-friendly and click-rate-oriented website and a neat renting processes were some of the key points considered before kicking off the project.
